Avengers: Infinity War has been 10 years in the making. Since the very first Iron Man in 2008, almost every film in the Marvel universe has dropped bits of information leading up to this film — the Infinity War.
There has been lots of rumors about who lives, who dies and overall what happens in this film and I am here to provide you with a review containing ZERO spoilers. (However, if you would like a review where I break down everything that happens, please leave a comment down below!)
Here are my 5 tips for watching Avenger: Infinity War:
- Brush up on your Marvel movies and characters.
Like I said, this film was 10 years in the making. There has been countless hints and Easter eggs over the years that all mount up to this one movie. If you haven’t seen the first two Avengers films, what are you doing?! You MUST watch them both before going to see this one.
It is also important to watch Black Panther and at least the first Iron Man, Thor and Captain America films, just to jog your memory (or get with the program). There is so much information enveloped into each movie and sometimes even after the screen turns black… which leads me to my next point.
- Stay till after the credits!
True Marvel fans already know this. You NEVER leave the theater until after all the credits role. Marvel is notorious for giving the audience sneak peaks of what is to come in the middle or at the end of the credit reel. These aren’t just for fun… they are strategic, important but also cruel. How dare you give us a hint that juicy AFTER the movie is over?!
- Don’t got to the bathroom… at all.
If you have a small bladder, go to the bathroom before the movie and skip the soda from the concession stand. There is no time to waste in this movie going to the bathroom. From the moment it starts, till the moment it ends, if you even blink for too long, you will miss something BIG and important. This film rounds out a 2 hours and 30 minutes but it’s so good, you’ll never want it to end.
- Don’t look up what movies are coming out next in the Marvel universe.
Ignorance is bliss and that speaks true in the Marvel universe. I almost wish I wouldn’t have seen this film just so that my sweet ignorance could still be intact. This film holds nothing back. Don’t worry about looking up what movies are coming out next! Focus on everything that has lead to this film and just enjoy watching it all come together on screen.
- Finally, take it all in… because we have a whole year to wait before we find out what happens next.
Why must we wait so long for sequels!? It took forever to get to this point and Marvel is continuing to torture us… The only reason I’m okay with waiting is because it at least means there are more films to come. What was life even like before Marvel films? That’s a world I don’t want to live in.
If you follow my tips, you will have an incredible, heart-racing, shocking, tear-jerking, hilarious, whirl-wind of a ride that is Avengers: Infinity War. In theaters now!
