Fresh off a break up with the Joker, Harley Quinn does what every girl does when they have a broken heart – Cuts her hair and adopts a pet hyena.
As Harley begins to navigate Gotham without her partner in crime (literally), she soon realizes that a lot of people want her dead… and I mean a lot. At the top of that list is Roman Sionis a.k.a Black Mask a.k.a Ewan McGregor in colorful, swanky velvet suits with serious daddy issues. Harley bans together with a gang of badass babes – The Huntress, Black Canary, and Renee Montoya – to show the thugs of Gotham that women are not to be messed with.

Birds of Prey is the best DC film I have ever seen (yes, better than Joker). The humor is pure and cynical, the soundtrack is fierce and everyone loves to watch girls kick some major booty. These women are like all-female Avengers but hotter…and angrier.
The fight scenes were unreal – Fast-paced and well-thoughtout. You know this film was directed by a woman because at one point during the biggest fight scene, Harley tosses Black Canary a hair tie to help her out. I loved how much girl power was in this film and ladies, you will too.
Overall, Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn is a must-see for everyone. Yes, even you Marvel fans. Now playing in theaters everywhere.
Score: 3.75/★★★★★
