I’m a busy lady so sometimes it’s hard for me to write a review about EVERYTHING I watch. To catch you up, here is a quick recap of what I’ve been watching (and loving) the past few months.

New Girl (Netflix, Hulu):

When it came time for me to start a new series, I was stumped. I had exhausted all my options and had moved on to re-binging my favorite shows like The Office, Friends and Parks and Rec. I had heard about New Girl but honestly, it looked a little campy and I wasn’t sure if i was going to like it. Boy, I was WRONG. I was actually mad at myself for not starting it sooner! This show is one of the few shows that makes me laugh till I cry and you can’t help but want to become best friends with them. If you’re looking for a light-hearted, hilarious show full of one-liners, look no further.

Despicable Me 3 (Theaters):

My not-so-guilty-pleasure has to be the Despicable Me/ Minions franchise. I’m not sure I remember a world without minions… and that’s fine with me. The third installment of these adorable films did not disappoint. It’s story is heart-warming and there is hidden adult humor throughout to keep parents in the audience laughing. Also, Pharrell is back, lending his beautiful voice to the soundtrack once again. Despicable Me 3 is in theaters now!

To The Bone (Netflix):

If Netflix keeps coming out with these incredible original films, they are going to take over the world. To the Bone pulls back the curtain on eating disorders and what it’s like to find the will to live again. Lily Collins, who drew on her own experiences with eating disorders for this film, gives one of the best performances in her career so far. To The Bone is on Netflix now.
