Academy Award Predictions 2016

The greatest night of the year has FINALLY arrived!! Watching the Oscars has been a love of mine long before my love of writing movie reviews. The gowns, the stars, the films, the glamour! What’s not to love?

Every year, I make my predictions of who will win the beautiful golden statue and this year is no different. Here are my picks for this years Academy Awards!

Best Picture: The Revenant (100%)

Best Actor in a Leading Role: Leonardo DiCaprio for The Revenant (Much deserved and long over-due)

Best Actress in a Leading Role: Brie Larson for Room (No competition)

Best Actor in a Supporting Role: Christian Bale for The Big Short (Even though Tom Hardy SHOULD win)

Best Actress in a Supporting Role: Rooney Mara for Carol (A critic favorite)

Best Makeup: Mad Max: Fury Road (Stunning)

Best Cinematography: The Revenant (Did you see some of those shots? Breathtaking)

Best Original Song: Spectre sung by Sam Smith (I get chills every time)

Best Animated Feature: Inside Out (A favorite for kids and adults!)
