To be honest, before I knew it was up for a bunch of awards, I had no desire to see this movie.
Yes, I love Tom Hardy just as much as the next woman but this movie looked exteremly weird… and it was! But in a creepy, amazing, thrilling way.
Mad Max: Fury Road takes place in post apocalyptic Australia and follows a warrior named Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) as she tries to find her homeland in order to save a group of women prisoners. Along her dangerous and terrifying journey, she collides with Mad Max (Hardy) and they ban together for survival… and revenge.
This movie was explosive, dynamic and truly enticing to watch. The costumes and special effects were insane and this film is sure to take home a stack of Oscars.
If you are even slightly interested in watching this film, I highly recommend it! It’s surprisingly entertaining and did I mention you get to look at Tom Hardy the whole time?
