Ralph broke the internet and stole my heart. The sequel to the 2012 “smash” hit, Wreck-It Ralph, delivers a fun time for all ages – Littered with pop culture references, Disney Princesses and Easter eggs for film fans everywhere.
We are reunited with Ralph (John C. Reilly) and his adorable best friend, Vanellope (Sarah Silverman), six years after the first film. A lot has changed in the outside world but not much has changed for the video games at Litwak’s Arcade. When Vanellope’s game breaks and gets unplugged, it’s up to her and Ralph to enter the unknown World Wide Web in search of a new steering wheel to save her game.
Watching Ralph and Vanellope discover the internet was like seeing it again for the first time. The wonder, the excitement, the depths of the internet is incredible! We get to see them figure out exciting things eBay, Twitter, Google and not-so-fun things like hate comments, spam and computer virus’s. This film, while colorful and magical, is also teaching kids the dangers of the internet and the importance of friendship.

Although this is a kids movie, I had a BLAST. Ralph Breaks the Internet is just as much for adults as it is for kids – Sprinkled with tongue-and-cheek humor and exciting (but quick) Easter eggs. A few of my favorite things I noticed were multiple Star Wars nods, hidden Muppets and even a small Stan Lee cameo *tear*. Keep an eye out for all thee above!

This film brings back familiar characters like Fix-It Felix (Jack McBrayer) and Calhoun (Jane Lynch) and introduces hilarious new characters including the ever-so-stylish, Yesss, voiced by Taraji P. Henson and Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, as a badass racer named Shank. You can’t forget the best cameo of all – All the Disney Princesses in one room, voiced by all the original actresses!

Overall, Ralph Breaks the Internet is the perfect movie for the whole family. Everyone from your five-year-old nephew to your 16-year-old cousin to your 78-year-old grandmother will enjoy it. Also, be sure to stay after the credits for a BIG surprise…
Ralph Breaks the Internet is now playing in theaters everywhere!
