Nothing can prepare your heart for the magical tale of love and friendship that dances across the screen during Christopher Robin.
Winnie-the-Pooh and his iconic pals are back to help Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor) remember his roots and rediscover the important things in life. Everything about this film is spectacular. From the sets, to the costumes, to the incredibly realistic stuffed animals that come to life right in front of your eyes.
Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo and Owl are everything you could have imagined they would be – their fur is worn and their voices are sweet, making them feel like old friends you haven’t seen in a while. Even the Hundred Acre Woods is exactly how you pictured it would be as a child, putting you in all the feels.
One of my favorite things they incorporated is Pooh’s words of wisdom. Here are some of my favorite lines from the film:
- “Doing nothing often leads to the very best kind of something.”
- “I always get where I’m going by walking away from where I’ve been.”
- “People say nothing is impossible but I do nothing everyday.”
From beginning to end, this film is like a warm hug that makes you never want to let go. It’s adorable, sweet and they did the beloved kids books justice a million times over.
