The Jungle Book Review (PG)

2016 and 2017 will be the years of live-action Disney remakes and I could not be more happy about it. The Jungle Book, directed by Jon Favreau, was a thrilling joy from start to finish. Almost the entire film is SGI and it is seamless. The casting is impeccable and this film will be sure to make you feel like a kid again.

The Jungle Book wouldn’t be the same without all the classic characters. Bill Murray voices the lovable Baloo, Idris Elba makes you tremble as Shere Khan but newcomer Neel Sethi steals the show, with his wit and his lisp, as Mowgli. Don’t worry- Both songs “The Bare Necessities” and “I wanna be like you” appear in the film as well!

My favorite part of the film was Mowgli’s siblings- baby wolves with adorable little voices! Overall, this film is definitely something I would recommend for families of all ages and all you animal lovers out there. The Jungle Book was incredible so I can’t wait for the next live-action Disney film! Bring it on.
