My Challenge to you: Fall back in Love with Movies

I have made the executive decision to volunteer all my readers as tributes for my Fall Challenge. Here’s the deal: My Challenge to you is to watch one movie you have never seen before each week in this month of September. That’s not too life threatening, right?

It’s now the start of one of the greatest seasons of the year (Besides Award Show season, of course) where you get to wear scarves, have bon fires and binge on Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks. Fall is just about here and it’s time for you to fall back in love with movies (See what I did there?).

August is a crazy month for everyone and in this busy time, one can lose sight of what’s really important; MOVIES. Now, I know that movies are much more of a necessity to life for me then they are to my lovely readers, like yourself, but movies are good for everyones mind, body and soul.

Taking the time to sit down for a few hours with someone you love (or your cat), kick your feet up and immerse yourself into a movie does wonders! This is your time to be whoever, or whatever, you want to be. Want to be a 10 foot-tall Transformer that saves the world from evil aliens?! GREAT! Want to fall in love on a giant boat that hits an ice burg in the middle of the ocean and sink to your death?! GRE… Well, that makes one of you.

Anyways, the point is, movies are your own personal escape from reality for a few short hours and everyone needs that. Cleanse your body of all your worries by shoving your face with buttered popcorn while laughing your face off at Jim Carrey. September is your time to detox and that is why I challenge you to one movie a week. So, what do you say? Are you ready to fall back in love?

  1. I recently fell in love with the movie The choice by Nicolas Sparks. I think this was his best one since the notebook which is my all time favorite movie. I left with puffy eyes but a full heart!
