The classic, suspense novel, Murder on the Orient Express, is making its way to the big screen this November and fans can’t wait, viewing the trailer over two million times on Youtube after its release this Thursday.
A swanky train ride full of stylish strangers turns into a deadly scene after one of the passengers is murdered. But who could have possibly done it and why?
The tagline for this highly anticipated blockbuster reads, “Everyone is a suspect” and that’s because, well, everyone is in it.
Murder on the Orient Express is packed to the brim with Hollywoods finest actors and actresses including *inhales sharply* Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Penélope Cruz, Williem Dafoe, and Judi Dench. Wait! There’s more! Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Daisy Ridley, and Frozen‘s, Josh Gad will also star in the film, rounding out a killer cast (pun intended).
Not even the numerous stars or the sexy, suspensive storyline could save this trailer from the internet trolls. An article on Mashable talks about how fans of the trailer weren’t necessarily fans of the music chosen to encapsulate the film.
The popular song, “Believer” by Imagine Dragons, played at the end of the trailer, became a game of “What other random songs can we put in its place?” The internet did not disappoint, overlaying songs like, “It wasn’t me” by Shaggy and “What is love?” by Haddaway.
Despite its slightly negative reaction, overall, Murder on the Orient Express looks like it could be one of the best films of the year. Unfortunately, we have to wait until November to see whodunit.
